"They Can't Break Mom's Spirit"
Yesterday, someone who knew Brooks' password information, logged in to her blog and effectively deleted her entire work. This person (who we all know quite well) must believe that by deleting Brooks' words, they've deleted her life and what she stood for.
Unfortunately for this sad miscreant, Brooks' brother (my Uncle Rick) was mirroring the blog and it will be a matter of days before it is restored in full. The worst part is this person failed at such a menial task of sabotage.
Despite all of the adversity Mom faced in life, as I said in my eulogy of her (a point that my partner Lauren brought up to me in conversation), her spirit could never be broken. This is just one more testament that Mom prevails.
In the next few days we'll be including an entry and photos on Mom's memorial from the 20th. Thank you to all who showed. And for those who couldn't, but wanted to be there, you were in spirit.

It seems to bring back to old saying: "you always hurt the one you love".
Brooks and her family will reside in my heart forever and I am looking forward to the return of her blogsite. It gave me such enlightment and made me feel like Brooks and I were sitting next to each other and sharing our lives very sincerely.
My love goes out to the entire family.
Love,
Nancy
In the interest of honoring Mom's sacred place, can we please refrain from anymore ugliness?
Mom's blog was deleted by a saboteur, but her spirit lives on. Let us honor this spirit by sharing what we loved about Mom, not about what we hate about this person or despising those who choose to defend their actions.
Please, for Mom's sake, let her rest in peace. Mom had her own opinions about the relationships with her children, but I believe she would want us to treat her space with respect, which is what the one who destroyed it refuses to do.
I understand everyone's anger because it is legitimate, but no matter what anyone tries to do, they won't be able to hurt Mom nor sabotage the relationship we had with her.
One can delete Mom's printed words, but one can never delete Mom.
And for future reference, Mom's password, which was taken out of her apartment by two people on a letter addressed to me and obviously xeroxed, has been changed. No other harm will be done to this blog.
How about we delete all the ugly things that have been said and give this site the respect it deserves. For Brooks sake....please
We don't really 'die', other than in the way we perceive things in our day-to day embodied life.
Brooks is in the light from which she came, from which all of us came, and to which we return to a timeless experience of love and caring
May the blessings of The Great Spirit be with you, always.

Thank you very much for your help. We actually have the entire blog saved into disk, but the difficult part is trying to reincorporate it back into the blog without the laborious work of having to copy and paste everything.
I'm working with blogger.com right now to see if they can simply retrieve what was deleted or if I will have to, in fact, post them all individually which will take quite some time.
Either way, it will get done. Thank you again for your willingness to help. It's a beautiful thing that people don't let things like this break them, but just rise to the occasion as needed.
